Wednesday star Jenna Ortega spills beans on the new experiences she had while celebrating her 21st birthday this year.

Jenna Ortega Shares Two Special Things She Did on Her 21st Birthday, Following Her Breakout Success as Wednesday on Netflix

Jenna Ortega is a name which does not need an introduction anymore. The young
actress has become a synonym with Wednesday since she starred in the Netflix
show of the same name. Her performance of the teenage deadpan Addams daughter
was so impactful thousands of fans mimicked her across the internet for months.
In only a few weeks of its release, the series became a global phenomenon
pushing back shows like Stranger Things
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/stranger-things/].

Following this massive breakout in the mainstream, the American star also
achieved a new milestone, which was turning 21 on 27 September. In a new
interview, she revealed two special things she did on the big day.

JENNA ORTEGA HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME ON HER BIRTHDAY

Jenna Ortega recently graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar
[https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion/fashion-news/a45696972/awards-issue-jenna-ortega/]
for their awards issue. For the same, she did an interview with the outlet,
talking about her shot to stardom. During the conversation, she opened up about
celebrating the day in her unique style. The Scream star had her first
tarot-card reading. “I kept getting cards that were telling me to appreciate the
moment more and acknowledge how far I’ve come,” she told Bazaar.

This experience made her realize that her life has finally changed, and she had
an amazing year since Wednesday. She also revealed it was the first time she did
not work on her birthday in ten years. The X-star spent the day on the beach in
Normandy and even rode a horse, conquering one of her fears. She celebrated this
milestone in her own way by napping on the sand, listening to music and writing
her journey instead of listening to people’s ideas.

This day, however, came with a lot of pressure considering the success of her
show and her rise to stardom in the industry.

THE 21-YEAR-OLD DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE HERSELF DESPITE ALL THE FAME

Continuing the conversation, Jenna Ortega disclosed that people wanted her to
celebrate her birthday differently. In fact, they had ideas about how she should
spend the day. “They wanted me to go clubbing, remarked the 21-year-old.
However, the California native thought she could not start doing these things so
quickly. According to her, she loved her peace more than throwing a lavish party
in the city.

Sadly, this was not the first time people wanted to change her personality for
fame in the industry. Four months back, she broke her silence on the dark side
of social media
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-after-millie-bobby-brown-jenna-ortega-breaks-silence-on-the-dark-side-of-social-media/]
and how everyone wanted her to post more. But these things never affected her
and the actor continued to believe in her work instead of her presence on the
internet. Therefore, the day came when she turned it upside down with her
impeccable performance.
