Jada Pinkett Smith drops another major revelation about Will Smith from the 2022 Oscars and the moment after the slap that shocked her.

Jada Pinkett Smith Was Apparently as Shocked by Will Smith as Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ‘Slapgate’

Rising up the charts in the entertainment industry, let alone command a whopping
fortune of over $400 million, is never an easy feat. Yet, Hollywood’s power
couple, Will Smith [https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/will-smith/] and Jada
Pinkett Smith [https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/jada-pinkett-smith/] have
managed to secure the feat. At least that is what the notion was for a long
time. As Pinkett peels off the layers of her over 25-year-long marriage with the
Men in Black star, startling revelations have come to the fore. The latest of
which presents a shocking backstory to the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

In what might come as one of the biggest deviations from the perceived truth,
the Madagascar actress revealed that the incident on that fateful night had left
her as shocked as any. However, it was not the slap that caught her off-guard.

JADA PINKETT SMITH COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS WHEN WILL SMITH SLAPPED CHRIS ROCK

A night that saw Will Smith receive the Academy Award for Best Actor with King
Richards, also saw the star usher in negative press. While the star-studded hall
and the live audience could not believe their eyes, Jada Pinkett had trouble
with her ears. After Will Smith pulled himself back from the stage after
slapping Chris Rock, he mouthed the host a mouthful. However, in there he had
referred to the actress as his “wife” and had left her “shocked”.

Recently, the actress dropped the bombshell that she and Smith have been
separated for the past seven years

Thus, at the time of the 2022 Oscars, although legally married, they were not in
a disposition of sharing loving matrimony. As reported by People, in her memoir
Worthy, Pinkett described herself

as being stunned at that moment. “But when I hear Will yell ‘wife’ in the chaos
of the moment, an internal shift of Oh s— . . . I am his wife! happens
instantly,” she wrote.

Pinkett’s revelations, meanwhile, also come with many such shockers, including
the time when she contemplated ending her own life.

AFTER HER HUSBAND BECAME HER “DRUG”, SON, JADEN SMITH ONCE SAVED THE ACTRESS’
LIFE

Jada Pinkett Smith previewed her memoir in bits and bombshells as she recalled
horrifying moments of her life. Suffering from intense depression and suicidal
thoughts, the now-separated Pinkett found her cure in the actor. Married in
1997, the mother of two opened up on how being around the I, Robot actor, made
her feel “cured”. “He became the drug,” she summed up.

Times, however, were still difficult for her even after marriage. The couple’s
married life saw discords and brief separations. Once along this time, Pinkett
was passing through a wave of rough depression. Coming to her rescue was her
son, Jaden Smith who introduced her to a plant-based psychedelic treatment.

Fortunately, Pinkett managed to get a better hold of life, yet, unfortunately,
not of her marriage.
