Jacob Elordi Reveals His Chemistry With Margot Robbie in 'Wuthering Heights' Felt 'Real' at Times

Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel Wuthering Heights has haunted hearts for centuries, and now the moors are calling again, this time with Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie stepping into the storm of Heathcliff and Catherine. With fog rolling over windswept hills and sun glinting off the damp grass, the actors walked paths of centuries-old longing. Every glance, every whispered word on set hinted at a love story that refused to stay on paper.

While the moors whispered secrets and winds tangled hair as uninvited poetry, the line between Elordi and Robbie’s characters and themselves blurred delightfully.

On the moors, Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie fully embodied Heathcliff and Catherine, their eyes carrying the ache and devotion Emily Brontë penned into every haunting, timeless line.

"You can almost imagine that the spirit of this love that Brontë created is sort of floating around there. It really did feel like we were catching little pieces of that unrequited love," Elordi expressed in an interview with Fandango.

"We really were a part of their love, for real," he added.

Robbie nodded at every word Elordi said, as filming transcended acting, transforming into fully inhabiting centuries of Heathcliff and Catherine’s passion, longing, and timeless, unspoken love on the moors.

The connection was far beyond scripted lines. While running hand in hand across fog-draped hills to set up shots, their emotions oozed intensity, almost electric, as Elordi shared with Fandango. In these fleeting, unscripted sparks, they lived Catherine and Heathcliff’s torment, conjuring moments that Brontë’s pages could only murmur, shy of full revelation.
