Jacob Elordi got his spotlight stolen by his cute canine co-star, Rak Jasper, at The Dog Stars premiere. Hollywood stars are taking red-carpet theater to entirely new heights, turning premieres into interactive performance art. Gone are the days when stars like Margot Robbie chose to dress like Barbie or Zendaya turned tennis-inspired fashion into high-art statements for their movie premieres. As method dressing and publicity stunts continue to blur the line between fiction and reality, movie stars are proving that walking the red carpet quietly is officially a thing of the past.
Jacob Elordi is setting the bar high as he steps out with his four-legged co-star at The Dog Stars London premiere.
Rak the Dog steals the spotlight from Jacob Elordi
At the London world premiere of Ridley Scott’s upcoming feature The Dog Stars, leading man Jacob Elordi shared the red carpet with his canine co-star, Rak Jasper. Demonstrating patience and guidance throughout the photocall, Elordi assisted the pooch through standard obedience cues to ensure successful press photography, happily ceding the spotlight to his four-legged counterpart for the evening's major media appearances.
Elordi chose to dress in a blue double-breasted suit with soft pinstripes and pointed lapels, along with matching fitted slacks, a white shirt, and a navy slim tie from Bottega Veneta. His mini mullet was unkempt and curly, and he wore diamond stud earrings. Additionally, he was seen sporting a mustache - a returning feature in the Elordi ensemble.

The rest of the cast from The Dog Stars joined Rak and Elordi too on the red carpet. Margaret Qualley, for example, went hard on the method-dressing and decided to wear the bizarre barefoot sandal that designer Matthieu Blazy showcased during his resort 2027 collection for Chanel in Biarritz, France, along with a more traditional and delicately fringed black dress. With everyone present, Rak took his spot next to Elordi, all while following the cues like the paid actor he is. (via Vogue Instagram)
The movie takes Jacob Elordi and his pup buddy into a broken world where survival is a challenge.
Jacob Elordi ventures into The Dog Stars’ dark world
The Dog Stars is based on Peter Heller's 2012 book of the same name, a post-apocalyptic story that centers on two men. One-time pilot Hig (Jacob Elordi) and former Marine Bangley (Josh Brolin), are among the planet's few remaining survivors after the majority of people are k***** by a pandemic. Along with an elderly dog named Jasper, they spend their days at an abandoned airport.

The movie also stars Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Guy Pearce, and Benedict Wong in key roles. The Dog Stars, director Ridley Scott's first film since Gladiator II, opens in theaters on August 28. If Jacob Elordi’s bond with his canine co-star seen during the premiere photoshoot is anything to go by, they will be incredibly amazing together in the film.
