Michael Jackson may well be looking down with a quiet smile. It was an emotional moment for both his family and his devoted global fanbase, who came together for the Los Angeles premiere of the long-awaited biopic. After weathering several years of scrutiny and delay, the cinematic spectacle finally got a new release date.

At the heart of this evening was Jackson’s nephew, who portrayed the King of Pop in the movie. He reflected on his uncle's kind nature and immense love for his fandom.

Jaafar Jackson looked dapper in an all-black Saint Laurent suit at the Los Angeles premiere of Michael at the Dolby Theatre. Taking the stage to address the crowd, he thanked his family for their guidance and support, as well as for the opportunity to work on the film. But before that, he made sure to honor the music legend’s legacy and the impact he has had on the pop culture and music world.

“Most importantly, I wanted to make sure that I captured his essence and give audiences a glimpse of just how incredible of a human being he was. Even if I captured just a tiny glimpse, that's what I wanted to do for this film and for my family,” he said.

Although Jackson was not in the room, those who knew him were present at the event to show their support for Jaafar. The music legend’s siblings, La Toya, Jermaine, Marlon, and Jackie Jackson, were also in attendance. They posed and smiled as they walked the red carpet, while also interacting with the media.

In the last few days, he has been busy promoting the film. However, missing from the premiere was his sibling Bigi Jackson, who had earlier attended the Michael movie world premiere in Berlin. Paris Jackson was also notably absent, which is not surprising considering her long-standing dispute with the executors of their father’s estate and her decision not to be involved in the movie. All in all, the premiere was a huge event and seemingly a tribute in itself to the music legend.
