Theo Rossi is building anticipation around the upcoming Sons of Anarchy show with the latest tease. Rossi, popularly known as Juice Ortiz from Sons of Anarchy, has been going on promoting his new project, Come With Me, alongside fellow Sons co-star Ron Pearlman. However, this little reunion is not all fans of the show will have to do with. A bigger reunion project, titled Legends, is in the works from the brilliant mind of Charlie Hunnam.

Charlie Hunnam is the creator and writer of the FX series, which will star Hunnam, Perlman, Rossi, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, and Kim Coates as themselves. When the cast gets back together at a fan convention, the broken brotherhood encounters a real-life threat that is more dangerous than anything they ever faced on Sons.   

Theo Rossi now gives an insight on the venture that goes beyond the simple logline of the show.  

Charlie Hunnam is reuniting the cast of Sons of Anarchy for a meta-spinoff called Legends, but it is not the usual reunion most fans would expect. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly to promote his and fellow Sons co-star, Ron Perlman's movie, Come With Me, Theo Rossi shared some details about the project, such as how long it has been in the development phases.

“So Charlie had this idea, and it’s one of those that is just so crazy it might work,” he said. 

“Charlie’s such a great writer, and he has so much passion for how he wanted to do this. It’s like Galaxy Quest meets Curb Your Enthusiasm; it’s this heightened, crazy world,” Rossi added.

Reflecting on the deep bonds formed during their long-running television tenure, actor Rossi described spending eight years working closely alongside his co-stars, sharing holidays, riding motorcycles to local spots, and spending weekends together by Dayton Callie’s pool. Having worked on five subsequent projects since the series wrapped, the actor acknowledged that such a close-knit dynamic is rare in the industry.

Speaking further with Entertainment Weekly, he recalled their early days as a group of character actors who simply hoped the project might succeed, Rossi noted that the show's massive success completely changed their lives and forged an unbreakable bond.

He expressed profound enthusiasm for the upcoming revival conceived by creator Charlie Hunnam years ago, explaining that while reunions require countless pieces to fall into place, the finished scripts prove the creator has crafted something uniquely smart and different.

Besides conceiving and working on this brilliant idea, Charlie Hunnam is also attached as a producer to the FX show. 

FX's Legends will be produced by FX Productions and 20th Television, with Rob Mac, Nicholas Frenkel, and Jackie Cohn acting as executive producers in addition to Charlie Hunnam and Jonathan Groff. Following his highly regarded performance as the title serial killer in Netflix's Monster: The Ed Gein Story, for which he was nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe, Actor Award, and Critics Choice Award, Hunnam is returning to FX. 

In addition to appearing in Netflix's Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and Prime Video's Criminal, he is now working on the BBC series adaptation of John le Carré's book, Legacy of Spies. Most of these projects might come before Legends as there is still no release date announced for the show.
