The latest version of the popular Disney films adds a couple of new characters with the return of favorites like Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), and Jessie (Joan Cusack). On that note, Toy Story 5 has officially welcomed Alan Cumming as a brand new character. The casting reveal has already started to stir excitement among fans, and Pixar is keeping up the anticipation for the next movie.
“Well, I would say don't expect too much, as it is a cameo, but it is quite exciting, as this character has never had a voice before. Voice work is pretty much the same wherever you do it and on what scale,” the star told LADbible, addressing the fans.
LADbible exclusively revealed that Cumming is to voice Bullseye. The Traitors US host said that it was an incredible honour to be joining the universe and he was happy, and in disbelief. The trusty stallion has never had a voice before, so that was a big decision for Cumming and the team about what voice to give him.
“So we went around the houses a bit before we settled on the one we're using. But the circumstances of him talking -- once you see the film -- will make you understand why we had quite a broad church to choose from,” he added, talking about it.
With Cumming’s cameo now confirmed, attention has also shifted to Bullseye’s role in Toy Story 5 and what the beloved character’s next chapter could look like.
What role would Bullseye play in Toy Story 5?
Bullseye is Woody’s (Tom Hanks) loyal, puppy-like toy horse from the Toy Story franchise. He is a part of Woody's Roundup gang, along with Jessie and Stinky Pete. He doesn't talk like his cowboy friends, but makes cute horse and dog sounds.

Toy Story 5, the upcoming sequel, will finally give a voice to one of the franchise's longest-running characters. The story revolves around eight-year-old Bonnie, who is ready for Bullseye to help her through whatever her next chapter of life may bring. However, he and Sheriff Jessie get separated from the gang, and Bullseye has to saddle up to find out what it really means to be there for someone.
Concept art from Pixar showed Bullseye with Jessie. Recent story details suggest the pair play a central role as the toys try to make their way in a world where kids are increasingly drawn to technology rather than traditional toys. Bullseye remains Jessie’s faithful toy horse, and for Toy Story 5, he seems to be a part of the traditional toy-based adventures.
