The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star will be among the cast joining Nina Dobrev in the adaptation of Tessa Bailey’s bestselling romance novel. The casting for Leatherwood continues to generate excitement for the project, which has already generated a lot of enthusiasm among readers who are eager to see one of BookTok’s biggest contemporary romance stories come to life on screen.

The upcoming adaptation of It Happened One Summer features an ensemble cast led by Dobrev as Piper Bellinger, Tyler Hoechlin as Brendan Taggart and Virginia Gardner as Hannah Bellinger. Leatherwood has been cast as fisherman Fox Thornton, adding another familiar face to the project.
