Alexander Ullom’s IT ENDS puts a group of young actors at the center of an unsettling nightmare, following four friends whose late-night drive takes a terrifying turn when they find themselves trapped on an endless stretch of road. Blending existential horror with the casual chemistry of a “hangout horror” movie, the film relies heavily on the dynamic between its central cast.
Released theatrically by Neon on August 21, 2026, IT ENDS has emerged as one of the standout indie horror titles of an already packed year. While its ensemble may not yet be filled with household names, several of its performers have built up credits across independent films, television and short-form projects. Here is where you may have seen the IT ENDS cast before.

Before IT ENDS, Yoon appeared in the romantic drama One True Loves as Young Sam and played Joon Park in Smoking Tigers. His television credits include Bad Teacher, 100 Things to Do Before High School, grown-ish, High Potential and Ballard. He has also appeared in several short films, as well as an uncredited role in Taylor Swift’s 'Bejeweled' music video.
Akira Jackson as Day
Jackson brings an energetic presence to the role, helping balance the tension and uncertainty that gradually take over the group. Her performance also gives Day a distinct personality, making her more than just another passenger caught in the film’s surreal nightmare.

Jackson has primarily built her career through independent productions and short-form projects. She starred as Jamelia in Against the Spread alongside fellow IT ENDS cast member Mitchell Cole and appeared in Urban Flesh Eaters and Chasing Raine. Her earlier credits include the mini-series Seeing Clearly Now and the short film Girl Beast, along with an appearance on Wives with Knives.
Noah Toth as Fisher
Noah Toth plays Fisher, the irreverent and funny member of the group. His character brings some much-needed levity to the increasingly disturbing circumstances, making his interactions with the other three leads an important part of the film’s ensemble dynamic.
Toth’s previous work includes UnBound, The Breakdown, Huggin Molly, Senior Prank and Ojai. He has also appeared in a number of short films, including 40Hands and Sana, Sana, as well as television projects such as Here Comes Your Man and The Afters. IT ENDS gives him one of his most prominent feature-film roles to date.
Mitchell Cole as Tyler
Mitchell Cole rounds out the central quartet as Tyler, the driver and the group’s more blue-collar, military-influenced presence. Tyler’s dynamic with the other characters helps establish the interpersonal tension that sits underneath the movie’s supernatural mystery.

Mitchell Cole is also a filmmaker, having written, directed and starred in Against the Spread, where he appeared alongside Akira Jackson. His other credits include Derelict, Choose the Right, Lords of Lincoln County and Anchor, where he has worked across acting, writing and directing. His role in IT ENDS further highlights his growing presence in the independent film scene.
The supporting cast
The movie’s supporting ensemble includes Jon Linstad as the Interrogated Man, Jenny Doyle as Fisher’s Mom and Ian Weir as the Lost Man. Director Alexander Ullom also appears in the film as a New Passenger/Passenger, giving the filmmaker a small on-screen presence alongside his work behind the camera. The relatively unknown ensemble is part of what gives IT ENDS its intimate quality. Rather than depending on recognizable stars, Ullom’s film puts the emphasis on the chemistry between its performers and the increasingly strange circumstances surrounding their characters.
For viewers discovering IT ENDS through its theatrical release, the cast is likely to be more familiar from smaller independent productions than from major Hollywood blockbusters. Phinehas Yoon has the most recognizable collection of mainstream television credits, while Akira Jackson, Noah Toth and Mitchell Cole have largely established themselves through indie films, shorts and emerging projects.

That makes It Ends an interesting showcase for a group of rising performers. With its contained premise and character-focused approach to horror, the movie gives its young ensemble plenty of room to establish personalities before the nightmare fully takes over.
The It Ends cast may not consist of major Hollywood names, but that is part of the film’s appeal. Phinehas Yoon, Akira Jackson, Noah Toth and Mitchell Cole bring distinct personalities to the four central characters, while the supporting cast adds to the film’s strange and claustrophobic atmosphere. As It Ends reaches a wider audience, the horror thriller could also become an important calling card for its emerging ensemble, particularly for viewers interested in discovering the next generation of independent-film talent.
