“It All Kind of Came Together,” – Adam Driver Reveals Reason for Joining Marvel After Rejecting Multiple MCU Offers

Adam Driver has explained why he finally decided to join Marvel after turning down several other MCU roles previously offered to him. Kevin Feige had earlier revealed that Driver was considered for roles in various Marvel Cinematic Universe films. As Feige explained, it had almost become a tradition for the actor to hear out the offers and turn them down.
However, that changed when Driver accepted the role of Mister Sinister in the upcoming X-Men film. And the reason behind his decision is quite interesting, as the actor explained in a recent interview.
Adam Drivers shares why he finally agreed to join Marvel
Adam Driver recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! When asked about his decision to join Marvel, the actor revealed that he was a fan of X-Men. While he admitted to being a fan of other things as well, he shared that joining the studio this time for X-Men felt like the “right thing” to do.
“It was really ‘X-Men,’ Jake Schreier, who’s the director, his idea for it, and that it’s Kevin Feige. It all kind of came together. The script is really cool,” he said.

He also further explained his anxiety about doing justice to the role. During his conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, the actor said he was careful about choosing an MCU project because of its immense popularity and the large audience it would attract. So, for his debut, he wanted to make sure he did it the right way. His decision to play Mister Sinister in the upcoming X-Men film comes after Kevin Feige opened up about the actor's previous refusals during his appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
Apart from X-Men, the actor has also shared a lot about another upcoming film.
Adam Driver talks about Heat 2
Adam Driver recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to talk about his movie Paper Tiger. During the conversation, the actor also discussed his work on Heat 2. The actor had massive praise for Michael Mann’s screenplay, which he adapted from his novel co-written with Meg Gardiner.
“And I say, as a script, it’s even more condensed and streamlined,” Driver said. “It’s a missile. The script.”

Moreover, the actor also confirmed his role in the movie. He is set to play the antagonist from Mann’s novel, Otis Wardell, and is expected to join the production in December. So, from Marvel to Heat 2, Driver dropped plenty of hints for fans to look forward to.
