The power scaling in the world of Invincible is absolutely crazy, and most of the credit goes to interstellar beings called the Viltrumites. These overpowered species from the planet Viltrum make the definition of power itself seem less than enough. To put it simply, their strength is incomprehensible for a normal human being, and to add to their dreadful persona, they are war-hungry beings ready to wipe out kill even their own race. The viewers will get to see one such Viltrumite in the upcoming season of Invincible as the new antagonist. 

Thragg and the impending doom that comes with him force viewers to wonder if he is going to be the most powerful Viltrumite ever seen in the series. 

 Grand Regent Thragg is indeed the most powerful Viltrumite to exist right now. It is not to exaggerate things, but he is actually built differently. He was genetically modified to be the most formidable Viltrumite, the ultimate beast among the beasts. If this was not enough, he received special training while growing up in a prestigious household of Viltrum. 

This, along with his unique genetic composition that is passed down through several generations, puts him in a league of his own - a league where even the elite Viltrumites will struggle to survive. There is a reason why he is given the title Grand Regent and rules over Viltrum unchallenged.

Season 4 will witness his arrival on Earth to finish what he started. His previous attempts to colonize the planet by sending in his warriors, like Conquest, failed as Invincible/Mark Grayson stood in their way. So, he will be making an appearance himself this time to finish this once and for all.

Thragg, in fact, might just prove to be the toughest opponent for both Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man and Invincible, and it is important to understand how they compare to him in powers before the next season starts.

 In terms of raw power, Nolan Grayson is actually even lower than Conquest, according to the comics. Although he has his fair share of accomplishments and the royal lineage of Viltrum, he still lacks in front of the genetically engineered Thragg. The latter is actually miles ahead of Nolan in strength and considers him inferior to himself.

On the other hand, Invincible is a whole other matter. Being a hybrid between Viltrumite and human, he has the advantage of growing more powerful faster than any pure-blooded Viltrumite. With an increasing number of battles, he gets more and more powerful. There are even fan theories suggesting Mark will transcend Viltrumite limitations and stand above them in regards to brute strength. 

Still, this was according to the comics, and it is hard to tell what route the animated adaptation will follow. Nevertheless, the show's creator Robert Kirkman has promised brutality and gore to be at its highest in the upcoming season. Therefore, we can hope to see Thragg in action against Nolan and Invincible soon and get an answer to the question.
