Making Nick Frost laugh is practically a sport, but Dafne Keen might just have a winning strategy. Simon Pegg himslef once called his longtime collaborator the funniest person he knew, and their partnership in Spaced and the Cornetto Trilogy, including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End, has given audiences plenty of reasons to agree. Yet even Frost, with all his comic genius, was no match for Keen's unexpected punchline.
The Logan star had the comedian bursting into laughter with one hilariously unexpected question about a colonoscopy.

Dafne Keen had a very specific goal while filming Whistles: make Nick Frost, her childhood comedy icon, burst out laughing. Speaking on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, the Logan star recalled how she seized her opportunity during a detention scene while filming Whistle that required an exhausting 73 different setups. With Frost already sick and worn out, Keen leaned over and whispered a question about whether their next shot would involve a colonoscopy. The comedian promptly lost it.
“I wonder if the next shot will be a colonoscopy,” Keen recalled whispering to Frost. The joke landed perfectly, giving the actress a moment she would remember long after filming wrapped.
Keen explained that the two were filming a detention scene in which director Corin Hardy kept experimenting with different setups. Curious about just how long the scene would take, she started counting them on the table. The tally reached a staggering 73 setups in a single day, leaving Frost exhausted and battling a cold. Keen, meanwhile, was determined to make the most of her time with someone she had grown up watching.

“I must make Nick Frost laugh like this is my mission because he is my childhood icon,” she said on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum. The task was not exactly easy, either. As the conversation noted, Frost was not someone who laughed at absolutely everything, making Keen's eventual triumph all the more satisfying.
With MCU return rumors swirling around Dafne Keen, her performance in Whistles deserves a closer look, if making Nick Frost burst into laughter is just one of her many talents.
Dafne Keen's performance in Whistles
Dafne Keen is giving horror audiences another reason to keep their eyes on her, and Whistle makes a rather compelling case. As Chrys, the actress channels a deliciously dark, Beetlejuice-era Winona Ryder energy, making the brooding high school outcast feel less like another slasher protagonist and more like someone who wandered in from a considerably better character study. The screen, naturally, is better for it.

But Keen is not merely there to look suitably haunted. Her chemistry with Sophie Nélisse lends the film a tender romantic pulse, while her portrayal of grief and paranoia gives its supernatural horrors a deeply personal edge. The script may occasionally settle for familiar genre tricks, but Keen refuses to let her character become another disposable teenager in a horror movie.
