With Sydney Sweeney's Madame Web finally putting out its trailer

Is Sydney Sweeney’s Latest ‘Madame Web’ Connected to the MCU? Will Spider-Man Be in the Sony Film?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for its web of interconnected stories and
characters. Over the years, fans have seen various comic characters being
brought to life. From the classic Captain America to the adorably clumsy
Spider-Man we have today, they have given fans some of their favorite
superheroes already. However, that has not stopped them from bringing to life
more characters.

With the Madame Web trailer finally out starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney
Sweeney [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/sydney-sweeney/], hardcore fans can not
help but have a few questions about the upcoming film. In fact, the buzz
surrounding the Euphoria star’s first superhero film has sparked speculation
about a potential MCU connection.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT SYDNEY SWEENEY’S UPCOMING MADAME WEB

Recently, in the world of superheroes, a new character has emerged. While Madame
Web will not be introducing a new character, she has never been brought to life
by Marvel before. With both Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney stepping into the
enigmatic roles, fans are abuzz with anticipation. However, they are still
curious about the character’s potential impact on the expansive Marvel
narrative. With many questions about the film, its stars, and potential cameos,
here is everything we know so far.

IS MADAME WEB PART OF THE MCU?

Earlier this year, it was announced that Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson were
cast for Madame Web
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-hotness-overloaded-dakota-johnson-and-sydney-sweeney-are-coming-together-for-a-marvel-movie/].
While many may not have known about the character, Marvel fans had their
interest piqued. While many fans could have expected this to be an MCU addition,
sadly at the moment, the film will be rooted in the Sony universe shared by
Jared Leto’s Morbius and Venom.

Madame Web first appeared in the comics, where she crossed over into the
Spectacular Spider-Man back in 1998. She is known for her psychic prowess and
connections to the Spider-Verse, bringing a mystique that transcends dimensions.
However, this will be the first time that the character is being brought to life
for a film. The movie will be in the same universe as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man,
which has fans convinced that a crossover between Web and Peter Parker is a
possibility. In fact, the similarities between the worlds and the characters
have left many fans with another burning question in the back of their minds.

Marvel Flick ‘Madame Web’?

With Madame Web and all the Spider-Man films being a part of the same universe,
Marvel fans cannot help but wonder if it could mean that Tom Holland could make
a cameo in the upcoming film.

WILL SPIDER-MAN MAKE AN APPEARANCE ON MADAME WEB?

While no one initially thought about a Spider-Man and Madame Web crossover, the
first trailer for the film changed everything. Once it came out, fans could not
help but notice the introduction of various other characters from the friendly
neighborhood superhero’s universe. While that had fans connecting the dots on
the fact the film would eventually be part of the MCU, it put other questions
forward. Especially, about whether it could be Tom Holland’s beloved character
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-tom-holland-continues-the-explicit-spiderman-tradition-in-the-crowded-room/]
or one of the other actors, could potentially be in the Sony flick.

Even though the characters share the same universe, there is no saying what
could happen. However, with the film being Cassandra Web’s first foray into the
superhero world, there is a strong possibility that the film will choose to keep
the focus on her. Although, with strong links to the swinging superhero, Marvel
fans might eventually get the crossover that they were hoping for. Thanks to
Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was confirmed that they all were in the same
multiverse, which means it is a crossover just waiting to happen. However, that
may end up being quite a while away.

With the SAG-AFTRA strike over, the anticipation for various films has reached
an all-time high. And now, with the trailer making its way online, it is time
for the Save the Dates to be put into place.

WHEN WILL MADAME WEB BE RELEASED?

Over the last few months, Sony’s Madame Web has gone through various pushbacks.
Now, with the halting Hollywood strike finally settled, the studio seems to have
chosen a relatively close release date. However, it was initially scheduled for
October 2023, which has now passed. After that, it ended up receiving quite a
push and left fans praying they would not have to wait till sometime in August
2024 to watch the film. Thankfully, that was not the case, and the film was set
to release on February 14, 2024.

Just like Ryan Reynolds Deadpool

the film will be taking advantage of Valentine’s Day sales. However, that has
not always worked in the favor of the films. While the Reynolds starrer did
exceptionally well, not every film has followed the same lucky streak. The hype
surrounding the film shows fans are already invested. In fact, no one can not
wait to watch Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney rule the screen next year.
