Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has become one of the most anticipated films in recent years, thanks to its star-studded cast and the mystery surrounding its production. The secrecy has fueled widespread fan theories and online speculation, with social media users frequently linking new names to the project. Among the latest rumors is the claim that actor Connor Storrie appears in the epic, prompting many fans to question whether he has a surprise role.

Although the rumor spread rapidly, its origins paint a very different picture. 

Social media posts claiming Connor Storrie is in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey have gone viral. However, those claims are false, as the actor is nowhere seen the film and neither gets a spot in the film’s confirmed cast list. It appears the rumor originated from unsubstantiated social media posts and fan speculation, and nothing credible. 

The viral claim seems to have originated from an Instagram post by @buzzingforfilm, which featured an alleged Letterboxd review of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. The post featured the film’s official poster and a photo of Storrie, leading many viewers to believe the actor had been secretly cast in the epic. However, the post itself never said that Storrie is in the film. Instead, the blend of his face with the movie just created confusion.

Connor Storrie is an American actor, who started his career with small film and television parts in projects like Riley (2023), Tiny Beautiful Things (2023) and Joker: Folie à deux (2024). Storrie became a household name when he took on the role of Russian hockey star Ilya Rozanov in the hit series Heated Rivalry, a breakout role that catapulted him into one of Hollywood’s rising young actors. His growing popularity has also made him the subject of increasing online fan discussions and casting speculation surrounding major Hollywood projects.

While Storrie is not among the confirmed cast, the film does feature several recognizable actors in supporting roles. 

Besides its headline stars, The Odyssey also has several familiar faces in small supporting roles. The ensemble includes Elliot Page as Sinon, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, Himesh Patel as Eurylochus, Mia Goth as Melantho, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, and rapper Travis Scott as The Bard. The characters, not central to the marketing of the film, are additional star power to the all-star cast of Christopher Nolan’s retelling of Homer’s classic. 

Fan theories are still being fueled by online speculation about The Odyssey, but there is no credible evidence that suggests Connor Storrie was involved in Nolan’s blockbuster. Until Universal Pictures or the filmmakers announce any further casting, the viral claims should be taken as misinformation. Meanwhile, audiences saw an ensemble confirmed for the film as Nolan brings Homer’s legendary story to the big screen.
