Invisible Narratives today announced the close of $25 million in new investment capital to support its growing pipeline of projects, as per Variety. The company, which has been working on adaptations of internet-native properties, is making a Skibidi Toilet film that has gotten a lot of attention. The funding announcement comes as the project continues to move forward, even as director Michael Bay publicly denies reports that he is attached to direct.
Invisible Narratives has been building the Skibidi Toilet brand in a range of entertainment platforms over the past two years. This is obviously due to the growing popularity of the YouTube channel that has amassed more than 47 million subscribers and over 20 billion views. On the Skibidi Toilet movie and TV projects, Goodman informed that his studio is actively talking to a number of studios and partners.
"'Skibidi' is one of the most globally recognized original franchises to emerge from that world, so choosing the right home is critical, and there is real momentum around that process," Adam Goodman added, as per Variety, who is the former head of Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Studios, founded the company back in 2018.
In addition to the funding, Invisible Narratives announced it has hired Mark Shedletsky as president, who has over 25 years of experience at digital media and entertainment companies. The Santa Monica company said the initial $25 million is contingent on Invisible Narratives’ majority buy of Skibidi Toilet. Invisible Narratives will also be gaining media and entertainment experience from the two investment firms.
As Invisible Narratives expands its stake in the franchise, the strange universe that inspired the phenomenon continues to grow in scope and complexity.
Inside the bizarre world and mythology behind Skibidi Toilet
Skibidi Toilet is based on the viral web series by Alexey Gerasimov, which depicts a strange war between human-headed toilets and humanoid figures with cameras, speakers, and televisions for heads. The fighting escalates into ever more complex campaigns, with each side learning new skills and fielding larger armies. What started as an internet joke slowly developed into an epic sci-fi saga with its own mythology.

The plot centers around the Cameramen and their comrades who are ready to prevent the Skibidi Toilets from taking over the world and absorbing the human race. The series combines absurd humour, action, horror, and post-apocalyptic elements, often using visual storytelling rather than dialogue. As the war grows hotter, new factions emerge, and old mysteries about the origins of both sides begin to unravel.
Skibidi Toilet is a long-term franchise for Invisible Narratives, which is putting its money where its mouth is with fresh funding and plans to expand its multimedia footprint. The series’ improbable evolution from a surreal YouTube meme to sprawling sci-fi mythology has helped make it one of the internet’s most recognizable properties. The company is looking for the right partners for film and television adaptations, and the bizarre world of Cameramen and Skibidi Toilets seems set for an even bigger stage.
