Kirkman has long hoped the TV adaptation would cover the full story from the comics, and at SDCC, he suggested it could take seven to nine seasons to do justice to Mark’s journey. With each season adapting 15–20 issues, there is hope for more seasons. Until then, all eyes will be on Season 4.
