The superheroes are back in action, and expectations are higher than ever. Amid a crowded landscape of Marvel and DC titles, Invincible had a difficult challenge, which was to truly connect with a new generation of viewers. Over the course of its three-season run, it has done exactly that, with its character-driven storytelling, emotionally layered arcs, gripping plot, and unflinching action.

Now, as the animated series based on Robert Kirkman’s comic returns for Season 4, it is gearing up to pull in both old and new fans once again with a new chapter in Mark Grayson’s journey. Before that, here is everything to know about the cast, plot, and release date.

After Season 3 of Invincible showed the dangerous 'Invincible War' arc, Season 4 will follow Mark Grayson and his girlfriend Atom Eve as they strike out on their own, running a nonprofit while dealing with growing pressure and Mark’s increasingly unstable emotions. Meanwhile, tensions rise as a larger threat looms, with Nolan and Allen joining forces with the Coalition of Planets to challenge the Viltrum Empire. Season 4 will focus on the Viltrumite War, which is far larger and more dangerous than the Invincible War.

And for this season, the cast from the previous season will return to reprise their roles along with some new auditions.

Some of the new names to join the cast of Invincible season 4 are Lee Pace, Matthew Rhys, and Danai Gurira. Pace, Rhys, and Gurira will lend their voice to Grand Regent Thragg,  Dinosaurus, and Universa, respectively. With trailers of the animated series already out, the important question is when fans can expect the series to arrive on screens.

As announced alongside the official trailer of Invincible season 4, the show will arrive on Amazon Prime on March 18.  The first 3 episodes will be released on Day 1, while the rest will arrive weekly. This adult animated series will have 8 episodes for fans to binge-watch.

Soon after this season, the series will also move forward with season 5. So until the new season arrives, fans can continue watching the previous seasons, all of which are available on Prime Video.
