Jackée Harry is a household name who has spent decades in the industry, earning Emmy recognition and a loyal fanbase through unforgettable roles in television and film. While her talent and longevity in the industry speak for themselves, it is also her honesty that is much loved by her fans. Apart from her on-screen career, she has also often spoken openly about her personal experiences.

She recently spoke about undergoing a cosmetic procedure and shared her honest take that seems empowering and relatable, whether people agree with her or not.

The trend of undergoing cosmetic procedures is quite common in this era. However, Jackée Harry had a different idea when it came to her decision to undergo a deep-plane facelift. She shared in an exclusive with Entertainment Tonight that she had undergone the procedure back in fall 2025, and it was to address loose skin and restore facial structure, and not change her identity.

Harry shared that she had considered the procedure for nearly two years. She further added that she has no problem with her age and sees the surgery as something that boosts who she already is, rather than erasing time.

“I have no qualms about how old I am or who I am," Harry said.

"This helps it. Boosts it. It pushes it forward. So why not?” she added.

Harry was not hesitant to open up about the fears of undergoing the process. She explained to Entertainment Tonight how she overcame all the fears and, after much thought, made the decision. Her plastic surgeon, Dr. Patrick Davis, explained the technique as repositioning underlying tissue rather than just tightening skin, and added that it can cost up to $40,000 to $250,000.

As she admitted to having body dysmorphia, Harry shared how she felt more like herself after getting it done. What was once considered taboo is now being discussed more openly than ever, just like Harry did.

Jackée Harry is not the first one to openly speak about undergoing cosmetic surgery, and even athletes like Simon Biles have been speaking about it.

Simon Biles spoke about her cosmetic surgery

Simone Biles has always been candid about her life, and back in November 2025, she showed that same honesty in a conversation many public figures avoid. The Olympic champion revealed on her TikTok that she had minor cosmetic work done on her eye bags and earlobes. However, she added that her breast augmentation drew the most attention.

Biles also explained that her goal was never a dramatic transformation, but a look that felt balanced and true to herself. Even Amanda Seyfried, who recently starred in The Housemaid alongside Sydney Sweeney, has also spoken more about subtle maintenance than surgical change, particularly her experience with Botox, with a Who What Wear cover story in December 2025. She has openly acknowledged using it, but she also revealed that she stepped away from Botox for an entire year to restore more facial movement ahead of her role in The Testament of Ann Lee

With more celebrities openly discussing cosmetic procedures, Jackée Harry’s honesty stands out for clarity and confidence. For her, the decision was not about chasing youth, but choosing glamour on her own terms.
