LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Inde Navarrette at the screening of Obsession at the Hollywood Legion Theater on May 11, 2026

Inde Navarrette goes all out for a hilarious Obsession gag on Saturday Night Live. The actress made headlines when she was announced to host a special Halloween episode of the show. And the lengthy time of patience is finally coming close to an end.

Saturday Night Live just dropped a video featuring Navarrete and Grace Reiter. If anything, the video, packed with comedy bits, has clearly raised the hype. And just as fans expected, there was a special nod to the hit film Obsession.

Inde Navarrette recreates unforgettable Obsession scene

Inde Navarrette recently appeared alongside comedian and actress Grace Reiter. The episode begins with Navarrette practicing her introduction as the host of Saturday Night Live for the upcoming episode. Reiter, who stood right next to her, reminded her that it would be Halloween and asked if she was scared.

When Navarrete assured her that she was not afraid, Reiter claimed that she shared the sentiment. However, a loud noise soon erupted, causing Reiter to instinctively cling to Navarrette, who then reassured her. The two made several attempts, with the final take going smoothly with a little help from Navarrete’s character in Obsession, Nikki.

After introducing herself in the clip, Navarrete wished everyone a happy Valentine's Day. When Reiter tried to correct her, reminding her that they had booked her for Halloween, Navarrete claimed that Obsession was a rom-com movie. When a confused Reiter tried to argue, Navarrete, speaking in the voice of her Obsession character Nikki, repeated the famous lines from the film.

“No no don’t do that,” she said.

And Reiter, who appeared quite scared of the situation, did not argue with Navarrette or perhaps Nikki. Now, if this hilarious bit is any indication, there will be clearly more interesting gags on the show. Navarrette will also be joined by musical guest Gracie Abrams.
