Inde Navarrette made her debut on Saturday Night Live in the Halloween episode. The episode was highly anticipated and, understandably, attracted 5.2 million viewers. This makes it the show's biggest audience so far this season.

Moreover clips from the episode on social media such as YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok also had 325 million video views, which is also a season high. She was joined by Gracie Abrams as the musical guest, while Tom Hanks also made a surprise appearance. He reprised his David S. Pumpkins sketch alongside SNL alum Bobby Moynihan.

This episode reportedly became the most-watched of the season on Peacock. It has the biggest demo audience among adults 18-49 since Nov. 2, 2024, when John Mulaney hosted the show, (via Deadline). While the hosts scheduled for to host the next episodes will have the chance to surpass these numbers, as for now, the crown remains with Navarrette.

Now, this episode also joins an impressive line-up of previous hit episodes. Last season, only two episodes attracted larger audiences. One was Bowen Yang’s final episode as a cast member, which drew 5.4 million viewers.

The episode was hosted by Ariana Grande, with Cher as the musical guest. The other was the Saturday Night Live season 51 finale, which featured Will Ferrell as host and Paul McCartney as the musical guest. It pulled in 5.3 million viewers.

Apart from attracting a massive audience, Navarrette also made headlines with her dig at Shane Gillis’s viral comments.

Inde Navarrette made her debut on Saturday Night Live, and she quickly took fans by storm. During her monologue, the actress spoke about joining the Marvel universe to play the role of Rogue and opened up about the demand to look fit. Navarrette revealed that she has been working out a lot in the gym these days and went on to add another witty remark that seemingly took a dig at Shane Gillis’s previous comments.

“So, every morning, I put on my little w**** outfit and hit the gym," Navarrette joked.

Gillis previously made controversial remarks about women’s gym attire and tight-fitting shorts on the show. Before Navarrette, Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy criticised the comments. Former SNL cast members Ego Nwodim and Cecily Strong also voiced their criticism. Meanwhile, Navarrette also had an opportunity to address the matter herself on the show, and she seemed to have taken that up.
