Inde Navarrette is not letting Shane Gillis off the hook. The 38-year-old comedian faced a lot of backlash last month after making an offensive joke about women. Gillis, during his opening monologue on SNL, joked about women's gym attire, particularly their tight, neon shorts. The jokes did not go down well with audiences, and fans and industry peers were quick to make their displeasure known. Now, Navarrette has joined the conversation.

Navarrette clapped back at Shane Gillis by putting her own spin on the controversial joke on the very same SNL stage.

Inde Navarrette recently made her SNL hosting debut on this weekend’s episode. During her monologue, the actress teased her upcoming Marvel stint as Rogue in X-Men and mentioned how the studio requires its actors to be fit. She then plugged in a dig for Shane Gillis, sharing how she likes to hit the gym in her "little" outfit.

“So, every morning, I put on my little w**** outfit and hit the gym," Navarrette joked.

Navarrette's remark drew loud laughter and applause from the crowd. She also insisted that she is nothing like her character Nikki, only for her to reveal her boyfriend, Nick Aiello, in the audience, duct-taped and gagged to his chair while giving a thumbs-up. The actress invited the Saturday Night Live cast onto the stage to show off what they were wearing since they were stuck working on the holiday.

She was joined on stage by Marcello Hernández, Kam Patterson, Jeremy Culhane and many others, including her boyfriend.

Marcello Hernández kicked off the Halloween segment dressed as a “s*** TSA agent." He delivered a flirtatious pickup line straight out of an airport-security check. Kam Patterson followed in a black turtleneck, taking on the role of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Jeremy Culhane then used the moment to make a shameless pitch for a spot in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men movie alongside Navarrette, with him playing Wolverine.

The segment wrapped up with a chaotic, pop-culture-inspired group costume featuring Grace Reiter and Veronika Slowikowska. Away from the onstage antics, Navarrette’s boyfriend, Nick Aiello, also got in on the fun from the audience when was humorously shown tied up, supposedly proving how “chill” their relationship is. However, it was Navarrette’s dig at Shane Gillis that ultimately became the most talked-about moment of her debut.
