Christopher Nolan recently said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he hopes to reunite with Tom Holland on a different project after The Odyssey.
“I’ve not worked with him before, but I would love to work with him again. I mean, he’s just an incredible talent. He’s so, so great,” Nolan’s comment read.
In the upcoming film, Holland plays the role of Odysseus’ son, Telemachus. He is part of a star-studded cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Elliot Page, Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, and many more.
What makes Nolan’s comment about Holland especially thrilling is the possibility that the two could reunite if the director chooses to make it happen. Considering Nolan’s history of working repeatedly with the same actors, the chances seem quite strong. He has previously collaborated with Cillian Murphy six times, most recently in Oppenheimer, four times with Christian Bale for the Dark Knight trilogy and The Prestige, and twice with Anne Hathaway.
And there are plenty of such examples, suggesting that the director may find a role for Holland in a future film.
As for while speaking about working together, not just Nolan, but Holland has also expressed his admiration and awe.
