Just as the title suggests, the relationships and friendships in Apple TV+’s Imperfect Women are far from perfect. Nearly seven years ago, the novel Imperfect Women caught the attention of Elisabeth Moss, The Handmaid's Tale actress and her producing partner, Lindsey McManus, were quick to began working to turn it into an adaptation. 

After several delays, Imperfect Women, featuring an impressive cast, is finally set to arrive on screens soon. Before that, here is everything to know about the cast, plot, and release date of the upcoming series.

Imperfect Women follows the lives of three lifelong friends, Mary, Eleanor, and Nancy, whose bond is shattered by a tragedy. After Nancy is mysteriously murdered, the loss sees Mary and Eleanor find unsettling truths while the illusion of a perfect friendship begins to crumble. Love, guilt, and betrayal become the heart of the series. 

Imperfect Women is based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, with Annie Weisman as the showrunner. While the mystery and fractured friendships drive the story, there is also much hype around its powerhouse cast. The series brings together three incredible actresses under one roof.

Kerry Washington as Eleanor: Washington, who has previously starred in Scandal and Shadow Force, will play Eleanor in Imperfect Women.

Elisabeth Moss as Mary: Moss is well known for her roles in The Invisible Man and The Handmaid’s Tale. Moss, in her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, said playing Mary in Imperfect Women allowed her to have fun on screen after years of portraying intense and heavy characters like June in The Handmaid's Tale. 

Kate Mara as Nancy: Mara, who appeared in Shooter, will play the role of Nancy in the show.

The trailer of the series is already out for the fans. Now, the question is when the series will arrive on screen.

Imperfect Women is set to premiere on March 18, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping on the same day. Following that, new episodes will be released weekly every Wednesday until April 29, completing the eight-episode run. The trailer has already hinted at the mix of emotional and tense storytelling.

This is not the usual friendship or mystery story. With a murder that threatens to change everything and secrets sharp enough to cut deep, there is much more to uncover. And with a talented trio to bring the story to life, Imperfect Women only raises the stakes.
