Sunday Rose has addressed the nepo baby label by admitting her privilege. The 18-year-old is the daughter of Oscar-winning Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban, so the label was always going to find her. She walked the Dior runway in Paris this year, and the spotlight has only grown brighter since then. Her answer arrived in a place few teenagers ever see their own name printed.

While most teenagers chase a school newsletter byline, Rose landed a Vogue cover and used it to say something refreshingly honest.

Vogue Germany cover girl Sunday Rose calls out her own nepo baby perks

Sunday Rose acknowledges that her parents’ fame has given her a head start in the modeling industry. She opened up about her privilege in her first-ever Vogue Germany cover interview, where she wore a pink shirt with orange accents and an orange-and-brown vest.

“I’m very aware that I’m given opportunities that not everyone can have,” Rose noted in her interview with Vogue.

She then added, “I’m truly grateful to be able to take advantage of them.”

In the same Vogue Germany interview, Rose described how she handles the job. She gives her best, keeps a positive attitude however tired or jet-lagged she may be, and treats everyone with respect. Growing up in Nashville, she found that most people already knew her famous parents by the time she started school. Her parents wanted her to wait, so she agreed to model full-time only from age 16.

While a magazine cover is a polished way to introduce a model, the Met Gala had already given her a far louder debut months earlier.

Sunday Rose’ Met Gala 2026 debut and the age rule question

Sunday Rose made headlines at the Met Gala on May 4, 2026, as a 17-year-old first-timer. She attended as her mother’s guest, who served as one of the four co-chairs alongside Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour. The teenager wore a pink floral Christian Dior Haute Couture look, while Nicole Kidman picked a red sequined Chanel. Kidman herself confirmed her daughter’s attendance earlier in 2026 on the Las Culturistas podcast.

The Met Gala has required guests to be 18 or older since 2018, calling the late-night event unsuitable for minors. Rose’ presence technically broke that rule, yet exceptions have been allowed for minors attending with a parent. Blue Ivy Carter, then 14, also attended with her mother Beyoncé. Maddie Ziegler, 15 in 2018, skipped the event because of her age. Rose, for her part, admits the advantage openly.
