Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have built what many consider one of Hollywood’s healthiest and most mature co-parenting relationships. Since their 2015 separation, both actors have had years to heal and move forward. Today, there appears to be little, if any, animosity between them. Their successful co-parenting arrangement goes beyond simply keeping the peace. It takes consistent, conscious effort to put their three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, first.  

Affleck recently opened up about the co-parenting setup he shares with Jennifer Garner. 

Ben Affleck offered some insight into his current co-parenting dynamic with his former wife in an interview with Variety. Affleck explained that his routine revolves around balancing work with time spent with his children. He picks them up from school after work and occasionally gets to have dinner with them if they are in the mood to spend time with him. He also revealed that the children follow a week-on, week-off arrangement between his home and Garner's.

"I know things will come up that are hard, and I don’t want to jinx that, but this time in my life as a human being is really wonderful."

"I’m certainly fortunate, but I know from experience that the best crews in the world are in L.A.,” he added, talking about how his shared custody arrangement plays a significant role in determining his professional commitments

Affleck also revealed that as his children grow older, he wants to make the most of the time he has with them instead of taking on projects that require him to spend long stretches away from home. While acknowledging that not every actor can afford to make similar choices, Affleck considers himself fortunate to have that flexibility.

Now that they have found their footing as co-parents, Affleck has revealed that he would also like to reunite professionally with Garner.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have come a long way since their early days as Hollywood co-stars. After a decade of marriage, the former couple have settled into a co-parenting relationship, and Affleck has made no secret of his respect for Garner as an actor. While promoting Netflix's Animals in October this year, he revealed that she was almost part of the project.

However, once Affleck took on the lead role himself, they agreed that portraying a married couple might bring too much real-life baggage to the screen.

"I still want to find something to do with her," Affleck told Entertainment Weekly. Affleck and Garner have shared the screen twice, first in 2001's Pearl Harbor and again in 2003's Daredevil. Despite their busy careers, both actors place a high priority on working in Los Angeles, allowing them to stay close to their children.
