LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Inde Navarrette at the screening of Obsession at the Hollywood Legion Theater on May 11, 2026

Inde Navarrette has gone from Superman & Lois to starring in the breakout horror hit Obsession, with Marvel now waiting in the wings through her upcoming role as Rogue in X-Men. The actress is also set to host Saturday Night Live on Halloween, adding another unexpected chapter to a career that has accelerated rapidly in 2026. Her growing list of roles is giving audiences plenty of reasons to keep watching where the 25-year-old star goes next.

Yet for all the major Hollywood doors opening around Navarrette, some of her dream roles point somewhere much more familiar: the world of video games, the Resident Evil franchise to be precise.

Inde Navarrette wants a Resident Evil role

Inde Navarrette has revealed that she would love to become part of the cinematic world of the Resident Evil franchise, and her enthusiasm is particularly fitting considering how naturally horror has become intertwined with her breakout year. In a video interview with Variety's Tiana DeNicola, Navarrette discussed her growing interest in video game acting and said she is already preparing to enter that world.

“I love that world specifically, the Resident Evil world,” she said.

“I would die inside,” she said at the prospect of getting a role in the franchise.

The Variety interview also revealed that Navarrette has already been approached about acting in a video game and plans to begin that journey soon. Rather than immediately jumping into a major blockbuster game, she said she wants to try something smaller to test the waters because gaming is a genuine interest of hers.

Navarrette has also established some serious gamer credentials outside the interview. She has streamed Call of Duty on Twitch and previously revealed that she learned how to build her own gaming PC after watching Henry Cavill's now-famous PC-building video.

There is another side to Navarrette's rapid rise, however. The bigger her profile becomes, the more every casual appearance can become part of the conversation around her.

Inde Navarrette's breakout year is bringing more attention

Marvel has cast Inde Navarrette as Rogue in its upcoming X-Men movie, while SNL has booked her to host its October 31 Halloween episode. At the same time, her September 8 appearance on Hot Ones Versus with Obsession co-star Michael Johnston produced a viral clip that triggered a wave of debate online, with some viewers criticizing her playful behavior and others pushing back against those reactions.

The Obsession phenomenon has transformed Inde Navarrette's career in a remarkably short period. Made for roughly $750,000, the Curry Barker-directed horror film became a major theatrical success, eventually passing $500 million globally, while Navarrette's performance as Nikki became one of the central reasons audiences kept talking about the film. That momentum has now carried into some very different territory.

For Navarrette, the contrast is striking. One minute she is stepping into one of Marvel's most recognizable mutant roles, the next she is becoming the subject of a social-media conversation over a few seconds from a spicy-wing interview. If anything, it shows how quickly the Obsession breakout has changed the scale of attention surrounding her.

And somewhere in the middle of all that noise is a much simpler ambition: Navarrette wants to play in the Resident Evil world.
