Actress and singer Elizabeth Gillies recently appeared on the Zach Sang Show, where she was asked about any popular fan-casting surrounding her and whether she pays attention to it. Much to everyone’s surprise, she agreed and admitted that the Disney movie Hercules had her attention for a long time.
“I would always do Hercules if that were a thing that were to come about because that was like my earliest and most favorite,” she said.
Elizabeth Gillies revealed that a particular VHS tape, featuring all the female songs, was actually what intrigued her. She admires the character Megara rather than the movie.
She even shared her enthusiasm for portraying Megara on Zach Sang Show, who is the love interest in Disney’s Hercules. When asked about the performance in the VHS, she revealed it to be the song 'I Won’t Say I’m in Love.”
While there have been rumors about a live-action adaptation of Disney’s Hercules, nothing has been officially confirmed, including the cast. So, the possibility of Elizabeth Gillies starring in one of her favorite Disney live-action adaptations cannot be ruled out entirely.
Until then, fans can take peace in knowing that Elizabeth Gillies has already fulfilled another longtime dream, which is starring in one of her favorite theatre productions.

Elizabeth Gillies is no stranger to the theatre world. She made her Broadway debut in 13 back in 2008 and later returned to the stage with Little Shop of Horrors. This was a full-circle moment for the actress, who had fallen in love with the musical after first seeing it in 2003.

She has shared that performing in the show changed her life in a good way. The cult-favorite musical follows Seymour, a shy flower shop assistant whose life takes a dramatic turn after he discovers a strange plant with a taste for blood.
Gillies portrayed Audrey during her five-month run at the Westside Theatre, starring opposite both Milo Manheim and Graham Phillips as Seymour. While audiances await to see Liz Gillies as Megara, there is another Greek mythology inspired title to satiate their sweet (Greek) tooth.
