In a recent interview, the actor revealed how his mother gave him the confidence to do things. February 4 is when she passed away, and on the same date years later, he was to host SNL. Pedro Pascal revealed to Esquire, “I was so scared that week that I was talking to her.”
He explained how talking to her, even after her death, gave him peace, comfort, and confidence. She passed away when he was very young, leaving him and his sister to look after their even younger siblings. Although he could not replace his mother’s position, he assured his siblings of always being there for them. He has two sisters and one brother. His younger sister Lux came out as transgender and came out as an activist.

The actor even took up her maiden name Pascal as his stage name to honor her memory.
