Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has not shied away from speaking about the emotional pressure of filming. Alongside his successful music career as a rapper and singer, the 42-year-old has also built an acting career, appearing in several films and television shows. He has starred in How to Make It in America and Two Night Stand, among others.

However, even after being in the acting industry for several years, the actor recently discovered a new sense of respect for actors and their abilities and skills while taking on a challenging role in his upcoming film.

Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi and Willow Smith recently sat down for a conversation on the Big Bro with Kid Cudi podcast. During the discussion, Willow Smith opened up about how actors sometimes have to film the same intense scenes over and over again. Kid Cudi then shared that he had to cry for several hours while filming a scene for his upcoming film. The rapper further explained that the experience gave him a newfound respect for actors who take on such emotionally intense scenes.

"I had to cry in the scene, and I must have been crying for about three four hours that day just over and over like heavy crocodile tears, and it wipes you out. And I literally in that moment I had a newfound respect for any actress, any actress I've ever seen in any horror movie where they're like distraught," he said. 

Willow Smith, who could relate to Kid Cudi’s experience, went on to mention Nosferatu during the podcast. She gave a shout-out to Lily-Rose Depp for her incredible performance during the film's emotional scenes. The rapper agreed with her and praised the actress. He also appreciated the actresses who have taken on demanding roles in horror films such as Resident Evil. Now, as Kid Cudi has revealed, his upcoming film, Wrong Number, is a horror thriller.

But what is Kid Cudi’s upcoming horror film about?

Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is set to star in Wrong Number. As reported by Deadline, he also directed the film from his own script. The movie follows Cudi’s character, an author who becomes involved in an unexpected romance with a woman named Eliza. 

However, things soon take a dark turn when the author finds himself being stalked by someone. Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira, Lucy Barrett, Dewayne Perkins, Clifton Powell, and Laura Harrier have also joined the cast. The film is currently in production and could get a release date for next year.
