Jake Lloyd has a heartwarming message for his Star Wars fans. The actor, best known for playing young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, has largely stayed out of the spotlight and away from social media in recent years. In 2023, he had a psychotic breakdown that led to a period of treatment.

Following this, Lloyd spent 18 months in a mental health facility. He has not acted in any recent projects. However, Lloyd recently made a rare appearance in a video that has since gone viral.

Jake Lloyd recently appeared in a video shared on Instagram by fellow former Star Wars child actor Daniel Logan. In the video, Logan, who played young Boba Fett in 2002’s Attack of the Clones, addressed Star Wars fans, introduced himself, and urged Lloyd to do the same. After introducing themselves, Logan said that they wanted to express their gratitude to the Star Wars fans for their love and support.

“Very, very much so. I really appreciate that time,” Lloyd said, agreeing with Logan.

It was back in 2008 when Lloyd was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. During the video, Lloyd struggled to make eye contact with the camera and appeared to look around the room. This came after his psychotic breakdown in 2023, following the death of his younger sister, Madison, at age 26, in 2018.

Before that, in 2015, the Jingle All The Way star had served time at the Colleton County Detention Center for reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest. The clip of Lloyd and Logan greeting fans drew immense attention online, with fans expressing their appreciation for both. It is quite evident that the Star Wars films continue to hold a special place in people’s hearts, and so do the actors who played the characters.
