The actor who effortlessly swung from every skyscraper in New York revealed how he folded during basketball with a high-profile witness in the form of Woody Harrelson.

Never meet your heroes, the saying goes. Andrew Garfield, who has long idolized Woody Harrelson, found that the trouble is not the hero. While discussing his passions outside of work on Good Hang with Amy Poehler, the actor hilariously recounted the time he played basketball with Woody Harrelson.

"I just froze," Garfield revealed while speaking to Amy Poehler.

Andrew Garfield picked a tough audience for a bout of nerves. Explaining the moment to Amy Poehler on Good Hang, he said that as soon as he stepped onto the court with Woody Harrelson, the idea that his hidden talent may lie on the basketball court completely evaporated.

Hidden talent or not, there is not a shred of doubt that Andrew Garfield is a talented actor. The actor has once again set out to prove this with The Uprising.

Andrew Garfield's The Uprising is inspired by the true events behind the legend of Robin Hood. Garfield may not play Robin Hood, but he leads the film as a farmer known as the Ploughman, who rises to lead a rebellion in plague-ravaged 14th-century England.

Written and directed by Paul Greengrass, the film also stars Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, and Woody Norman. The Uprising was released in cinemas on September 11, and is now available to rent or buy on platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV+.
