Nearly two decades after slicing her way into pop culture history as the fearless Bride in Kill Bill: Volume 1, Uma Thurman is once again stepping back into the conversation. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Uma Thurman, who stopped by while promoting her upcoming thriller Pretty Lethal, found herself revisiting an unexpected crossover with Fortnite. Speaking with host Jimmy Fallon, the actress recalled the unusual process behind becoming a digital character, sharing how she had to wear a funny hood-like mask that captured her facial expressions so developers could recreate her as an in-game skin. Adding to it, she admitted that at the time she had no idea just how massive Fortnite was before it became a skin in the game, later expressing surprise at seeing so many women playing the game.

"...but I was amazed when I went too because there were so many we went into the room and there were all these people playing and there were so many women playing. I actually didn't even know it was such a thing." Thurman said to Jimmy Fallon.

The crossover itself drew heavily from the world of Kill Bill: Volume 1, bringing Beatrix Kiddo, better known as The Bride, into Fortnite as a playable skin inspired by the iconic sword-wielding assassin portrayed by Thurman.

Developed by Epic Games, the global gaming phenomenon boasts over 400 million registered players, where competitors enter a battle-royale arena, drop onto an island, fight with weapons, and battle until the last player or team remains standing.
