[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/jennifer-aniston/] and Brad Pitt remained
amicable, setting an example for others to follow. Despite their high-profile
divorce, the two have shown warmth and respect for each other and did not shy
away from shutting down the rumors in interviews.

Once Brad Pitt took the blame for his inability to work things out with the
Friends alum.

BRAD PITT FELT GUILTY FOR FAILING HIS MARRIAGE WITH JENNIFER ANISTON

In 2011, Brad Pitt talked to E! News
[https://www.eonline.com/news/264155/brad-pitt-explains-aniston-marriage-comments-it-grieves-me-that-this-was-interpreted-this-way]
clarifying his previous statement about his marriage to Jennifer Aniston. The
actor told the outlet that he never knew that his remarks would be interpreted
with a different meaning. “Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious
woman who remains my friend,” explained the two-time Academy Award winner. He
said their friendship holds an important place in his heart.

Pitt then continued to explain that he never meant that their marriage ended
because Aniston was “dull”. However, it was he who became less involved in the
relationship and said, “I am responsible” for the separation. This conversation
stemmed from the Parade Magazine interview, where he talked about having
superficial expectations from marriage. “I think that my marriage had something
to do with it, trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” he
said.

While Pitt shared his thoughts about failing Aniston, the actress had a
different opinion and was satisfied with their time together.

THE FRIENDS ALUM HAS A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGES

In 2018, Jennifer Aniston told Elle that she has always believed her marriages
were successful. Though both her relationships with Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux
came to an end, it was all because they chose happiness. According to her, being
happy with one’s life was more important than the arrangement that tied two
people.

The Emmy winner explained she would never be in a marriage just because she had
the fear of being alone. So she chose to walk out when things did not work out
despite their efforts. “We have these clichés around all of this that need to
be reworked and retooled, you know?” she added. Though the former couple have
different opinions about marriage, they have continued to be friends
