The 2022 Oscars and the slapgate controversy, which became one of the most iconic pop culture moments, tarnished Will Smith's reputation. Not only did the public demand a boycott of him, but he also faced an Oscars ban. Despite the passage of years, it appears that fans are yet to forgive the Academy Award-winning actor. In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, fans were treated to the first glimpse of Smith and Martin Lawrence in the form of a trailer.

The video began with Bad Boys 4 building anticipation for the surprise release of the trailer, calling it “hot,” and then revealing a big twist in the plot. While some viewers were thrilled about the upcoming Will Smith project, others felt that Smith should not have been granted this opportunity following the Chris Rock incident. However, considering Smith's view on public attention, it is safe to assume he will find some good in this too.
