Lukas Gage, in his recent interview, revealed that the reboot show of Prison Break could feature some familiar faces. However, the actor did not reveal any names. It could be the actors who played the main characters in the show or the supporting actors.

“We might see a couple of OGs coming back," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

As Gage told The Hollywood Reporter, there is still a mystery surrounding which original cast members could return for the reboot and how crucial their roles might be. Original stars Amaury Nolasco, William Fichtner, and Robert Knepper could also reprise their characters. However, Wentworth Miller, who played structural engineer Michael Scofield in the show, previously said that, as an openly gay man, he no longer wishes to play straight characters.

“I understand this is disappointing," he wrote on social media.

As for the new cast, Gage will play a politician running for Congress for the first time. One More Shot actress Emily Browning will portray Cassidy. Drake Rodger, Myles Bullock, Georgie Flores, JR Bourne, and Clayton Cardenas are also part of the cast.

Lukas Gage hints a “scary” approach for Hulu’s Prison Break

The Prison Break reboot is set to honor the original series while taking the franchise in a new direction. The show first premiered on Fox in 2005 and ran for four seasons before returning with a fifth season in 2017. And, Lukas Gage, who stars in the reboot, has hinted that the new series will take a new approach, especially since it is no longer being made for Fox.

"We’re paying respect to the amazing TV show that I grew up loving but it’s also on Hulu now, it’s not on Fox, so we can get really gritty and get really dark. It’s gonna be crazy, it’s gonna be a wild ride," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

The original Prison Break is currently available to stream on Hulu and through the Disney+ bundle. It followed Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, who got himself imprisoned so he could help his wrongly convicted brother, Lincoln Burrows, played by Dominic Purcell, escape from prison. Until the reboot arrives, revisiting all five seasons of the original series is perhaps the best way to relive the nostalgia.
