Hugh Jackman Continues His Love Affair With Theater as He Makes an Exciting Announcement for Together Theater

When Hugh Jackman is not busy slicing down supervillains with his adamantium claws, he is busy doing something that he is deeply passionate about - theater. It is not a secret that he is a gifted singer and dancer, aside from his action capabilities, and he owes it all to his time doing stage plays before he became famous as Wolverine.
We have seen his prowess as a theater performer in movies like Les Misérables (2012) and The Greatest Showman (2017). However, the theater lovers know that his notable stage performances are Sunset Boulevard, The Boy From Oz (for which he got the Tony Award in 2004), and The Music Man.
The celebrated Broadway performer is back with an interesting project from his theater company, Together.

What is this new theater project from Hugh Jackman?
Hugh Jackman has just announced on his X handle that his theater company Together is back with another season of its beloved play, S----- Misconduct of the Middle Classes by Hannah Moscovitch. The play esteemed British director and former Royal Court artistic director Ian Rickson and starred Ghosts fame Ella Beatty and Hugh Jackman in lead roles.
The play will run from March 17 at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City. The play was a huge hit among audiences last year, and this season, the makers will try to recreate the same magic.

The story follows Jon, who is a middle-aged guy facing the end of his third marriage. He also happens to be a well-known novelist and an engaging university professor. This compelling drama is an intimate investigation of agency and perspective that will make you reevaluate your own presumptions long after it concludes. It is a challenging and razor-sharp assessment of desire, power, and blurred boundaries.
The play is impressive and what is more impressive is how his theater company was formed and the works it has produced.
The genesis of Together and other projects
Together with Tony-winning producer Sonia Friedman, Hugh Jackman founded Together - a theater company devoted to producing small, approachable live theater. Every show produced by the company is meant to celebrate the unadulterated power of storytelling and provide audiences with an opportunity to experience a theatrical play in a novel and captivating way. Small venues will host performances in an effort to foster a stronger sense of community.
Other notable works from the theater company include August Strindberg’s Creditors, adapted by Jen Silverman. It was also directed by Ian Rickson and starred fellow X-Men actor Liev Schreiber, Maggie Siff from Sons of Anarchy, and Justice Smith from Jurassic World. The play came out last year and ran from May 10 to June 18.

It is an amazing way to give back to a community that helped Jackman in the early days of his career. Theater is an art form that is very sacred and personal to most of the actors, and initiatives like this give it a chance to reach a wider audience. The second season of S----- Misconduct of the Middle Classes would be worth your time while you wait for the next Hugh Jackman film.
