When two comic geniuses work together, a comedy franchise is what you get. Will Smith and Bert Kreischer are perhaps two of the most loved comedians known for their natural style and effortless delivery. While both are loved individually, their mix of ideas nearly created a project that never happened. However, the magic of time worked in its own way, settling up Ryan Reynolds for success instead.

We often see Bert Kreischer topless in movies, almost like a real-life comic character. But the story of his adventures was so big and wild, it ended up being etched in history. Today the actor is set to realize his dream through his latest comedy flick, The Machine. But here is the story of how Will Smith once encouraged the script about the unfiltered life of the comedian.

A genius film idea never completely goes away. It just lays in the dust until it can be realized years later and turned into a success. Similar was the story of Ryan Reynolds’ starrer Van Wilder. The script of which was apparently picked up from a pile was National Lampoon’s Van Wilder. It was the script that had real-life stories of Kreischer’s college adventures. When the idea of a movie originally began, different scriptwriters submitted their work, but the MIB lead urged that it should be about the comedian only. After all, the actor has experience with his share of comedy movies, including the Bad Boys franchise, the fourth part of which is currently in works.

Although that plan never took off until Van Wilder happened without Kreischer. It all began with a Rolling Stone magazine article that spoke of the hilarious adventures of the comedian. He was named the #1 party animal of the year, and the article spread like a virus of laughter.

The Machine is like the final trophy Bert Kreischer won after nearly two decades. Just as expected, the movie has a poster of him in his iconic shirtless look clad with ample weaponry. The movie will also be about a series of misadventures as he digs into his younger years.

Joining him in the cast will be Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, who will play the role of his father. The movie was released on 26th June, although the reception so far has not been as big as Van Wilder.
