Every trailer tease has sharpened the same debate among longtime readers, and one moment finally settled how far Victor Von Doom's power actually stretches.

Victor Von Doom is confirmed as more powerful than Thanos inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at least according to Avengers: Doomsday. Unlike the Mad Titan, who needed all six Infinity Stones to reach god level, Doom carries that scale of strength built into his own body and mind. His armor fuses advanced science with genuine sorcery, a combination Thanos never possessed.

Disney has built a new premium format called Infinity Vision, and Avengers: Doomsday is its first true test. The certification requires screens at least 50 feet wide, laser projection, and Dolby 7.1 surround sound in every qualifying theater. Reports indicate over 7,500 theaters have applied, with roughly 5,500 screens expected to meet the standard worldwide. The format arrived after IMAX screens were largely booked by Warner Bros. Dune: Part Three, releasing the same day.

Audiences curious about the format do not have to wait until December. Avengers: Endgame Encore returns to theaters on September 25, 2026, giving Infinity Vision its first public run months early. The re-release adds seven extra minutes, a new Russo brothers introduction, and an expanded ending built to lead into Avengers: Doomsday. IMAX executives may have dismissed the format as marketing, but Doom clearly plans to dominate every inch of the theater regardless.
