For the first two seasons, Euphoria had adult actors convincingly playing teenage characters stumbling through chaos, making all the messy and impulsive mistakes that come with it. Now, with a five-year time jump, the show finally follows these characters as they inch or crash into adulthood. However, whether they actually start making wiser decisions remains a big question in Season 3.

That said, they have atleast grown older. So, here is a look at the current ages of the show’s characters.

Rue Bennett was shown to be a sixteen-year-old and a junior in high school in the first season of Euphoria. So, she is 22-years-old after the time jump. The character is played by Zendaya, who is 29-years-old as of now.

Lexi, Cassie’s younger sister, is the same age as Rue. In the show, after the time jump, she is now 22 years old. That brings attention to Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney, who is also 28 in real life.

She was 17 at the beginning of the series, so after the time jump, she is supposed to be around 23. In the trailer, Cassie is even shown getting married to Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi. Nate Jacobs was shown to be almost 18 years old in the first season of the show.

After the time jump, he should now be around 24 years old. As for Maddy Perez, played by Alexa Demie, and Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, both were 17 at the beginning of the series. And now, these two characters are expected to be around 23 in the newest season.

Sam Levinson talks about keeping Fezco O’Neill alive in the show

Euphoria creator Sam Levinson decided to keep the character Fezco O’Neill, played by the late Angus Cloud, alive in the series. Although the character does not appear on screen in Season 3, he is still mentioned throughout. Levinson explained that this was his way of paying tribute to the actor, who passed away in 2023.

“There’s a lot of scenes where people are talking to him on the phone," he told Variety, "I thought if I couldn’t keep him alive in life, then maybe within the show I could keep him alive there. The whole thing was a way to honor him."
