How long is the runtime of Scream 7?

The latest slasher film in theaters this weekend, Scream 7, runs for 114 minutes, which equals 1 hour and 54 minutes of screen time. It delivers almost two hours of suspenseful thrill, unexpected character developments, and frightening beats, strung together with fiendishly clever humor and wicked plot twists.

Spyglass and Paramount Pictures are set to unleash the movie in the United States and all around the pale blue dot on February 27, 2026, adding to the atmospheric excitement. While heading to the theaters is imperative, the movie will also begin streaming on Paramount+ approximately 45 to 60 days after its theatrical release, according to current franchise streaming patterns. PVOD options, which enable viewers to rent or purchase online content, will follow its theatrical window.  

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scream 7 could target a global launch with $60 million, opening at $40-$45 million domestic, making franchise history. Ever since its 1996 launch, this will be the first time the franchise has opened in all premium formats, which include heading to IMAX. 

While Scream VI (2023) currently holds the title of the franchise’s top-grossing movie, with $166.6 million earned globally, Neve Campbell’s highly anticipated return as Sidney Prescott promises to pull a record-breaking crowd. Campbell is set to reunite with the rest of the cast members, which fans of the franchise have longed for over the years.
