“How Far Away Is It From Being Good?” – Jesse Eisenberg Admits to Trying AI for Writing for a Very Specific Reason

Jesse Eisenberg has tried using Artificial Intelligence to write a scene. The technology has become one of the most talked-about topics across several industries, including Hollywood. While many are against the idea of AI, others have been experimenting and exploring its potential.
It seems Eisenberg also explored the technology through a few experiments. However, his reason for those experiments was not just curiosity but also a deep fear for the future.
Jesse Eisenberg recalls AI experiment for writing
Jesse Eisenberg and Julianne Moore recently spoke to Variety about the new film, The Debut, the future of the film industry, Artificial Intelligence, and much more. Both commented on the future of the industry that is changing amid the rise of AI, notable mergers, and the growing dominance of streaming platforms. While Moore seemed hopeful about the future, Eisenberg opened up about his fears.
Eisenberg, who directed and co-produced The Debut, shared that he sometimes experiments with AI to write to see how good it is. The actor added that he asks it to write a scene and then explains that it is still bad. However, Eisenberg also questioned how long it would take for AI to stop being bad.
“I’m just testing it to make sure it’s bad, and it’s still bad. So I’m relieved, but, like, how far away is it from being good?” he wondered.
"How far are we from a kid putting on a pair of goggles and saying, 'I want to watch a movie about me where I rob a bank and then kiss the girl I’m in love with at school,'" he further added.

While Eisenberg has his concerns, he also agreed with Moore during the interview about having hope for the future. However, the Now You See Me actor is not the only one to share his views. Several actors and filmmakers have weighed in on the situation with AI.
The latest to talk about AI is Sylvester Stallone.
Sylvester Stallone shares his bold opinion on AI
Sylvester Stallone made an appearance on The Overlap podcast and spoke about a lot of things, including Artificial Intelligence. He explained how AI has already entered the entertainment industry like an “avalanche.” He further warned that people must face it and learn to adapt to the changes it brings.
“I would take that risk, even though you get blasted bombastically from the creative community. And their [complaints are] right!” he said.

The actor agreed with actors and artists who are against the use of Artificial Intelligence in the industry. However, he also suggested that people should be prepared for these changes. Stallone is among the many celebrities who have opened up about their views on the matter. With differing opinions, the debate on AI is clear not ending anytime soon.
