Queen Rhaenyra may have to brace herself for the biggest betrayal, and it could come from one of her own dragonriders. Until now, the Greens have had little reason to feel optimistic about the Battle of Tumbleton. But that could be about to change. If Ormund Hightower can turn Hugh the Hammer and Ulf the White against Rhaenyra, the balance of power could shift dramatically. 

And if the events of Episode 7 of Season 3 are any indication, it looks like his plan is already in motion. Early in the episode, Ormund hints that he has found a "piece" needed to bring Rhaenyra down. And considering the episode's biggest revelation, it could be Ulf.

Ulf has not switched sides or betrayed Queen Rhaenyra, at least not yet. However, House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 7 strongly suggests that he could be headed in that direction. The episode's final scene shows a conversation between Ulf and Ormund Hightower, with the latter attempting to flatter and win him over.

Ormund expresses disbelief over the way Daemon has treated Ulf in the streets of King's Landing. But apart from sympathizing with Ulf, who has grown increasingly frustrated with how the Blacks have treated him, Ormund also appears to dangle the promise of Driftmark before him. He has repeatedly visited Ulf, seemingly determined to bring him over to the Greens' side.

While Ulf may not have switched sides just yet, Ormund's offer could be tempting for someone who has long dreamed of earning a title and a castle. Moreover, as seen in George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, both Ulf and Hugh eventually betray Queen Rhaenyra and get the title of "two betrayers".

This could be a turning point for Queen Rhaenyra, who could lose her power pieces. Based on Episode 7, the series appears to be setting that storyline in motion. Interestingly, that was not the episode's only major surprise.

The show had yet another shocking revelation with the return of a dead dragon, Sunfyre back to life. 

Sunfyre's return is one of the biggest moments in House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 7. After being presumed dead following the Battle of Rook's Rest, the scarred dragon shockingly returned from death to burn the soldiers threatening Aegon and Tyland Lannister. It unexpectedly rescued Aegon and Tyland Lannister from certain death.

As seen earlier, Aegon had remained convinced that his dragon was still alive, even when others believed Sunfyre had died. And the recent episode has confirmed that Sunfyre had survived his devastating injuries and was seemingly recovering rather than dying from them. Now, the dragon's return has not only saved Aegon's life but also restored Greens' powers. And that is certainly not good for Queen Rhaenyra.
