Hope had its spectacular world premiere at the main competition of the 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2026. This monumental event represents the first South Korean cinematic production to compete for the coveted Palme d'Or since the highly acclaimed Decision to Leave in 2022. The film is officially scheduled to debut in South Korean cinemas in the summer of 2026, as mentioned by Variety.

Following the initial domestic release, an official North American and global theatrical rollout will follow in the autumn of 2026. While no official streaming or digital release dates have been finalized, major international sales are being managed by Plus M Entertainment and the UTA Independent Film Group. Acclaimed director Na Hong-jin expressed deep appreciation for the exceptional cast.

The North American and English-speaking distribution rights for the film were secured by Neon, while Mubi acquired the rights to release the project across Latin America, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Turkey, as reported by Deadline.
