Podcasts have gone from niche listening habits to mainstream media powerhouses, and the biggest shows are making sure nobody misses a moment. From The Joe Rogan Experience and Call Her Daddy to New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, creators are turning long-form conversations into viral clips across TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Now, Hillary Clinton is hopping on the bandwagon, co-hosting High Stakes for Vox Media. Having someone of Clinton’s stature join the podcasting boom shows how the medium is attracting high-profile names and expanding its reach beyond traditional formats.

Hillary Clinton to join Kara Swisher as a co-host

Hillary Clinton is adding a new podcasting gig to her résumé, as per The New York Times, teaming up with Kara Swisher for High Stakes, a limited series premiering on October 14, 2026. The weekly show will run through mid-November and be available through Swisher’s established On With Kara Swisher feed. Instead of building a separate platform, the pair will bring their conversations directly to an existing audience.

The collaboration follows Clinton’s August 2026 guest-hosting appearance on Pivot, Swisher’s podcast with Scott Galloway. That episode gave the two a chance to share the microphone before joining forces for a series of their own. This time, Vox Media will produce, distribute, and monetize the episodes, making the project a formal partnership rather than a one-off guest appearance.

According to The New York Times, the deal also gives both hosts a direct stake in the show’s commercial success, with Clinton and Swisher sharing the advertising revenue generated by the episodes. Vox Media CEO Jim Bankoff has praised their “undeniable chemistry” and suggested that more collaborations could be on the way. With High Stakes debuting on October 14, the partnership could mark the beginning of a longer working relationship.

With Barack Obama also stepping into the podcasting spotlight, Hillary Clinton is hardly new to the game, having already explored the medium before her latest collaboration with Kara Swisher.

Hillary Clinton's podcast experience

Hillary Clinton has already spent considerable time behind the podcast microphone, building a format around conversations that go beyond the usual interview circuit. Her podcast, You and Me Both with Hillary Clinton, launched in 2020 through iHeartMedia and ran for multiple seasons, bringing listeners candid exchanges with prominent figures from entertainment, culture, public service, and beyond.

The show featured guests including Bill Clinton, Barbra Streisand, Gloria Steinem, Stacey Abrams, and Vivek Murthy, giving Clinton plenty of experience steering long-form conversations with recognizable names. Rather than treating it as her first step into podcasting, her earlier work offers a clearer picture of how she has already embraced the medium and built a foundation for this latest collaboration.
