Henry Cavill is renowned for portraying Superman, and he embodies timeless elegance and rugged charm. His striking features and commanding presence have made him a global icon and a name that has remained in contention during conversations surrounding the next James Bond.
Cavill was previously a finalist for Casino Royale, while recent reports have continued to include him among actors linked to the vacant 007 role. Beyond acting, Cavill’s refined style resonates with luxury audiences.
Now, the actor steps into a new role as the face of a prestigious watch brand.
Henry Cavill fronts Longines’ revamped Master Collection
Henry Cavill has become one of the faces of Longines’ new Master Collection campaign, adding another dimension to his relationship with the Swiss watchmaker. Longines first welcomed Cavill as an Ambassador of Elegance in February 2025, describing his refinement, authenticity, and multifaceted personality as a natural fit for the company’s philosophy of elegance.

The latest campaign introduces a redesigned generation of the Master Collection, a family that Longines says has been an important part of its offering for more than two decades. The refreshed range includes new three-hand watches alongside a redesigned Chrono Moonphase and a mechanical monopusher chronograph that draws heavily from the company’s watchmaking history.
The monopusher is particularly distinctive because its chronograph functions are controlled through one button incorporated into the crown. That design allows the same mechanism to start, stop, and reset the stopwatch, echoing the construction of early wristwatch chronographs.
With the watch campaign placing Cavill firmly in the luxury spotlight, his latest film is finding a very different kind of attention on streaming.
In the Grey finds a second life on digital platforms
Henry Cavill’s connection with classic sophistication arrives at an interesting moment in his screen career, as In the Grey continues its journey after a disappointing theatrical performance. Directed and written by Guy Ritchie, the 2026 action thriller stars Cavill alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González in a story centered on an elaborate mission to recover a billion-dollar fortune stolen by a ruthless criminal ruler.

Cavill plays Sid, an elite operative who works alongside Gyllenhaal’s Bronco under the direction of lawyer Rachel, portrayed by González. RogerEbert.com describes the trio as the driving force behind a series of elaborate operations involving heists, firefights, vehicle pursuits, and high-risk extractions.
In the Grey also marks Henry Cavill’s third partnership with Guy Ritchie, following The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Both films struggled at the box office, with In the Grey earning $13 million domestically against a $70 million budget. Despite critical divides, audiences embraced the films’ stylish action and charismatic leads.
