However, with the actor no longer portraying DC’s Superman and Netflix’s sword-fighting Geralt of Rivia, his schedule seems to be wide open to take on another role. Since last year, fans have been hoping for the 40-year-old to make a jump into Marvel films. Now, it looks like their prayers may just be answered.
With rumors floating around that the actor could be set to take on the role of Cyclops, here are three reasons why Cavill would nail the mutant role.
<h2>Why Henry Cavill would be great as Cyclops</h2>
Most 90s kids might only picture James Marsden in the iconic X-Men role of Cyclops, but the actor&#8217;s days of playing the mutant are long behind him. The last time that the world got to see James Marsden&#8217;s Cyclops was way back in 2006 in X-Men: The Last Stand.
