The band had pure dominance and delivered some of the finest songs, ‘How You Remind Me,’ ‘Photograph,’ and ‘Rockstar,’ to the audience. However, the public perception of them has mostly been negative. With the rise of social media, Nickelback has become a meme material among the millennials.

Despite the hate and trolls, the rock band recently released a documentary, Hate to Love: Nickelback, for all those who want to know more about them. However, irrespective of the hate and criticism, the band garnered immense support from Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds.

Ahead of the premiere of their much-awaited documentary series, one of Canada’s most iconic rock bands, Nickelback chatted with ET Canada’s Morgan Hoffman. Interestingly, the band revealed how the Deadpool star has shown immense support despite all the hate. The band’s instrumentalist, Ryan Peake, hilariously revealed, “He is very expensive. I’ll tell you that right now.”
Following that, the lead Chad Kroeger continued, “Pricey, very pricey.” However, this was not the first time the Free Guy star has voiced his support for the Canadian band. Elsewhere in the interview, the band recalled how Reynolds praised them during the release of Deadpool 2 in 2018. During one of his promotional events, the now 46-year-old showed great appreciation as he spoke about the band’s meteoric success.
Interestingly, the Canadian star even collaborated with them as he invited the band to cover the song for his musical comedy film Spirited. Moreover, Reynolds inducted Nickelback into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The band also shed some light on how Reynolds’s support has significantly helped them over the years.

During their interview with ET Canada, the rock band revealed that Reynolds’ support and love have helped them gain a positive reception. The Canadian actor included them in their film’s promotional campaign back in 2018, which the lead singer revealed did the band a great favor.
Despite Reynolds’ unwavering support, the members of the band are still unsure about the actor. Their vocalist Ryan Peake hilariously revealed how they feel it is all a part of the joke and added, “he’s gonna drop something bad on us.“
