Chris Hansen has made it abundantly clear that he is no fan of Primetime or Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of him. The former To Catch a Predator host branded the A24 psychological thriller a “dark, dishonest, and completely made-up work of fiction.” Since the film’s fall 2026 release, Hansen has repeatedly criticized how the movie dramatizes his career and investigative legacy.
However, the former television host may be ready to take his grievances directly to the source, as Hansen has now invited Robert Pattinson to appear on his podcast.
Chris Hansen extends sort of an olive branch to Robert Pattinson
Chris Hansen may have spent months criticizing Primetime, but now he wants Robert Pattinson to hear him out in person. The former To Catch a Predator host has extended an open invitation to the actor, who portrayed a fictionalized version of Hansen in the A24 psychological thriller. And this time, the conversation would happen on Hansen’s own show.
“Robert Pattinson…have a seat with me!” Hansen captioned the video on X, making his invitation abundantly clear.
The former television host explained that he and Pattinson have repeatedly been asked about each other, thanks to the movie and its portrayal of Hansen. Rather than let the questions keep circulating, Hansen now wants the actor to join him for a conversation.

Hansen proposed discussing everything from Primetime and its depiction of his career to Pattinson’s work as an actor. Acknowledging that both men have busy schedules, the former investigative host even offered to travel to London, where Pattinson is reportedly filming The Batman Part II. Hansen described the potential conversation as engaging and interesting, leaving the invitation open for whenever the actor is available in the video shared on his socials.
While Chris Hansen’s invitation makes for an enticing prospect, even when considering Robert Pattinson’s past remarks about the host, his packed schedule makes a sit-down far from a sure thing.
Robert Pattinson's packed schedule
Robert Pattinson might be tempted by Chris Hansen’s podcast invitation, but the actor has a packed schedule that could make a sit-down difficult to arrange. His biggest commitment is The Batman Part II, which is expected to involve an extensive production schedule in the United Kingdom. Months of filming could leave little room for additional appearances.

Beyond filming, Pattinson may also have post-production commitments, including additional dialogue recording or reshoots when required. Promotional duties for his other projects can further complicate his availability, as studios coordinate interviews around release dates. With so many professional obligations competing for his time, accepting Chris Hansen’s invitation could prove difficult, even if the actor is interested.
