In an Instagram story posted on June 20, 2026, Ryan Reynolds wished his The Proposal co-star, Sandra Bullock, a “Happy Proposal-versary” to celebrate 17 years of the movie. The movie remains an iconic rom-com that has a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts of the genre.

He also reshared a funny behind-the-scenes clip from the movie set that featured himself and Betty White on Bullock's Story. In the video, the Deadpool actor is shown having a feud with the veteran actress, who, as he claims, hates him. He calls her a “seething demon,” and in the very next scene, we see White crying in Bullock’s arms while giving the finger to Reynolds.

The whole sequence being reshared on their Instagram Stories was really hilarious, and knowing Reynolds, probably clever marketing material. The movie also features Oscar Nunez, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, and Malin Akerman in key roles. The Proposal recently found a home on the streaming giant Netflix US on May 1.
