An award-winning actor who starred in hit shows Blue Lights and Game of Thrones, Michael Patrick Campbell has died aged 35 at NI Hospice after a health battle with Motor Neurone Disease on Tuesday, 7th April, 2026. A death notice confirmed the news, sharing that he spent his final moments surrounded by his loving family and friends. After being diagnosed with the condition in early 2023, the actor’s health seemed gradually declined, and he was later seen using a wheelchair.
Expressing the weight of her loss, Patrick's wife, Naomi Campbell, shared an emotional note, writing that “words can’t describe how broken-hearted we are,” as she remembered Michael Patrick Campbell as an inspiration to everyone who crossed his path, not just during his illness but throughout his life. She described him as someone who lived fully, with joy, an abundance of spirit, and infectious laughter, calling him “a titan of a ginger-haired man.”
